Top 5 Maps and Navigation Apps on Android in Costa Rica - Q3 2023

In the third quarter of 2023, the top Maps and Navigation applications on the Android platform in Costa Rica exhibited diverse performance trends in terms of weekly downloads and active users. Data provided by Sensor Tower highlights the performance of the leading apps in this category.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 8.6K at the end of June and peaking at around 10.1K during the first week of July. By the end of September, downloads had dipped to about 6.7K. The app maintained a relatively stable number of weekly active users, ranging from about 109K to 113K throughout the quarter.

Uber - Request a ride saw its weekly downloads decline from around 10.2K at the beginning of the quarter to approximately 6.9K by the end of September. However, the app's weekly active users showed a positive trend, increasing from about 204K to around 216K.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides had a steady performance in terms of downloads, starting at around 6.9K in late June and closing the quarter with approximately 6.8K downloads. The app's weekly active users grew from about 181K to nearly 194K over the same period.

inDrive. Save on city rides experienced a mixed trend in weekly downloads, beginning at around 4.7K in late June and reaching approximately 5.5K by the end of September. The active user base fluctuated slightly, remaining around 71K to 78K throughout the quarter.

Moovit: Bus & Train Schedules had a consistent performance with weekly downloads starting at approximately 3.8K and ending the quarter at around 3K. The app's weekly active users remained stable, ranging from about 50K to 52K during the quarter.
